Royal Over-Seas League, 5 Park Place, St James's,Mayfair, London SW1A 1LR
We’re very pleased to announce we have been invited once again to exhibit at the Royal Over-Seas League in Mayfair and this year we are presenting a solo show by Louise McNaught.
Louise McNaught is a British artist whose work celebrates the glory of nature and animals. She uses blazing neon colours and mixed media to give her subjects a godlike, heavenly quality. Louise’s gentle touch highlights the delicate relationship we humans have with nature. ‘Consume’ will present a new body of work by the artist, exploring the materiality of the modern world in her signature style of stunning detail and bold colours.
The exhibition will open the week of Mayfair Art Weekend with a Private View on the evening Thursday 27 June, followed by the MAW Gallery HOP! event on the evening of Friday 28 June. The main event of the weekend will be an Artist’s Brunch on Saturday 29 June where Louise McNaught will share her work in an intimate talk and demonstration. All the events are free, and you can now book directly on the ROSL website www.rosl.org.uk or please let me know if you’d like to attend.
Liberty Gallery has carved a reputation for representing artists especially selected for their diverse use of media. The work is refreshing and experimental and created by artists who have developed a creed of their own and who have been primarily chosen for their aesthetic awareness and innovative practice.
Now based in Brighton- a hub of creativity on England’s south coast- the gallery has created a strong identity and reputation for showing the absolute best in contemporary collage and art today and exhibits extensively throughout the UK (including London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Cambridge) Europe (including Amsterdam, Brussels, Milan and Stockholm) and North America (New York City).
Drawing from the great pop-artists of the 60's, the Liberty Gallery artists' art style focuses heavily on popular culture creating imagery deriving from visual pleasures such as Hollywood movies, television, magazines and takes this focus further into the surreal world of dreams and imagination.
