I photographed the top section of the Sagrada Familia mid-construction years ago on a visit to Barcelona. The piece began with the Peace bench and was my thank you to Spain. As it happens, the work has coincided with the building reaching full height.

The photographs come from walking the city: a churreria stand, a skater, Gaudi tiles and checkered pavement, with painted areas of colour creating space in the piece. The print has a large, subtle diamond dust section and fluorescent screen-printed elements, so it shifts as the light changes and as you move. Living alongside something of that scale, built by so many hands over so many years, is what the title means. A sublime and much loved building, there for everyone.
