The Dancer was created for a a solo show ‘The History of the Future’ – an exploration of life, love, death and art.
Seemingly drawn directly from an archaeological site, The Dancer is covered in camouflage, alluding to the need to protect and hide these treasures to preserve them for future generations.
Gold leaf is used to highlight the correlation between money and war, and the threat that war and conflict poses to our art and our history.
This archival pigment inks on cotton rag paper print is hand-finished with 24ct gold leaf.
